| | 9700 app memory
a quick question guys,
what carrier, how many user installed apps are you running and whats your available application memory? with the 9700 having the amount of on board memory that it does, my device seems to be running low on app memory already and im wondering if it could have anything to do with the amount of bloat ware tmo pushes to there devices. thanks guys |

wow, that's the reason i jumped on the 9700 from the 9000, app memory. The device comes with 256MB and the OS takes about 120. I have about 5 or six apps total and i have about 122 free.
I have quick pull which i use once in a while but i don't think i will be running out of app memory soon. Try that app and the memory cleaner that comes with the phone and see if you get something back. Uninstalling themes or useless apps always helps.

how many apps do you have installed?!?
Search for tutorials on how to remove unused OS features. It will free up a considerable ammount of app memory.

Ive got 32 apps I think at last count. 106mb free
Most of the stuff pushed by the carrier are just shortcuts to download the actual app, not the app itself.

oh trust me im familiar with the memory cleaninf process, clearing browser caches, cookies, etc. im running 5/6 apps that i have installed and anoter 13/14 that tmo decided i wanted. even though the bloat ware are simple launchers to download the actual products they must be waisting space somewhere. have no pic, music installed on device and im currently sitting at 87.5mb free. just seems a bit low

87.5MB is plenty of free space. Users of some other devices regularly run with as low as 10-15mb free.
