Both BlackBerry Link (BB10) and BlackBerry Desktop Software (OS7) synced directly with Microsoft Outlook. 1 out of 7 people still use Outlook and it is absolutely annoying that Android has no direct syncing ability. There are tons of applications on the market to do this, but usually with a one time price tag of $50. Anyone know of good options. I don't want my contacts on Google or a Cloud.

Does outlook even work anymore? Mine quit working about 6 months ago. I have to use outlook.com now and that's where I have all my contacts that my priv msn address syncs with.

Check out MyPhoneExplorer. It can sync with Outland and other nice things via wifi/bluetooth or usb.
It's available for free, and if you like it you can donate something to the author.
I use it and am quite happy with it.

Of course Office Outlook works and you can automatically sync and backup your Office Outlook contacts and calendar to your phone through Outlook.com.
