How can u associate the program needed with whatever u download from the net to open?

Example. A apk file
The 2 choices I have available to open it aren't the correct program.

Like if I download a pdf I clearly see the option to use the appropriate apps

apks open by clicking them...

Yes but like a mp3 for example once it finishes downloading u have the option to open from the pulldown with a list of apps. With apk I don't see the appropriate app to open it with or the option to tell it to open with its own installer. They open fine directly but I can't open em from the pulldown

Couple suggestions, not sure if they will accomplish what you are after though.

1. Settings > Apps (select the App you want to use) > Open by default.

2. Using a file manager, Solid Explorer in my case, which has an 'open with' option.
