so as the subject line says, when I'm on my personal profile I will not get any notification sounds. my phone will vibrate but no sound. can you help?

before you ask here's some background
the same sound is set in my work profile and the personal one
ringtone will work fine
volume is to the max
i can click on the notification sound in settings and it will play.
it's not my first android just my first blackberry

Have you tried resetting them all to default and then set your tones again?
