My double tap to wake has worked no problem for a year and now it won't work - which in turn doesn't allow pop up notification on locked screen for a quick peak. Also, when I am on phone calls, Screen is black. I have tried everything except factory reset which I really don't want to do. Any ideas???

Sorry. Priv, running MM. The MM update didn't seem to effect it at all .... Started happening months after I did the update. Can't really think of anything else new that triggered it. So frustrating though.

Mine never seemed to work reliably so I just turned it off and use the power button

Works fine when my Priv is vertical, but it has never worked when the Priv is horizontal

Could be a blocked proximity sensor... Same thing happened to work Buddy of mine. There are forums in crackberry on how you can blow compressed air in the top speaker to clean it out and fix the problem.
