Thanks for the file, I have it opened and saved into a folder, how do you get the alarm to use this sound?

Make sure you have it saved in the internal memory. Then you should be able to find it from the alarm settings.

When you say 'internal memory' is downloads (device) sufficient?

I liked this alarm as well, especially because of its slowly building volume which helped me wake without a startling effect. Is there any way t make other alarms build volume slowly in a similar way? Thanks for letting me know.

I had a whole other reply typed out and then I thought I ought to check for sure. When you go into the clock to set an alarm, there are preset alarms already loaded in the alarm clock. If you want to use any other song or notifier for your alarm clock, you have to move whichever one or ones that you want into the alarms folder of the internal memory. This is if you have your SD card set as portable. I don't know how it works if you have the s SD card set to be part of the internal storage structure. I'm just saying how it works for me. I use Solid Explorer file manager. Again, I don't know if it will work the same way with other file managers. BTW, the sunrise alarm is preset in the clock alarms.

Thanks misterabrasive I don't use an sd card, and I only got my Priv (new, unlocked, unbranded, Asia Pac model) last Thursday, so still working lotsa stuff out. (I'm in Aus)

At the moment I've got it plugged into the PC (i thought that would be quickest for file copy etc) and realise that I need to check the forums for how to get the device info readable on a pc, lol. Ahh yes, the learning curve, lol .............

I've got the old OS ringtones in a cod file and the priv won't read them, nor will an App called File Viewer, so, ultimately, my aim is to add those to all areas where there are 'sounds' choices on the priv.

    Thanks again for your help

    Edit
okay, did an mtp file transfer of the old bb ringtones cod file (copied from my Classic) into the priv ringtones folder, and whilst they sit there okay, they can't be read, lol. I've started a thread re converting cod files to a blackdroid readable format .....

I believe this is correct. It is already pre-loaded.

Thank you for the mp3 version. Extracted and saved to internal memory alarm folder with solid explored and it works. This was one of the last items I needed in my switch from the priv to the S7. I still use my Z30 for an alarm sometimes. It is just so much easier to hit snooze in bedside mode and not accidentally dismiss like I have done on android.
