Wireless sync on an intital Enterprose activation?

I have a question about doing an initial enterprose activation with a blackberry.

They way we do it is the Address book never syncs wirelessly. We do however set up the Calender and Tasks wirelessly. However when you set it up at first the calender and tasks will not sync becasue they are set up for wireless. Can I just leave this and will the do it automatically wirelesly or do the settings have to be turned off on an initial setup, synced and then tuerned back on?

Why not create a group on the server and modify the PIM settings to not sync the address book. Then just add the users to the group when you add them too the BES.

I dont know really. Were not actually administrators, we just do set ups, but I could bring that up with the server team though.

Addressbooks syncs often fail on initial wireless (or USB) activations. This is normally solved later by it's self when the 4 hour contact book sync rotates.

I don't worry until at least 12 hours later and the contacts haven't synced yet which then I usually force a one way sync from the device to the desktop and after that succeeds, change it back to bidirectional.

Ok, we dont sync the addressbooks wirelessly anyway. Just the calender and tasks, but I think you answered my question. The phone will eventually sync and get the calender and tasks wirelessly, but maybe not right away.
