Unhappy Weird Blackberry Pin Issue

Hi All,

Having a bit of a problem with what seems to be pin messaging at the moment. I have a torch 9800. Running bes Express 5.02. currently email, internet, email, calender and contact sync spot on not a problem. The interesting thing is with pin messaging. When send a pin message, get a tick, with D next too it but my contacts never receive it. similiar issues with blackberry messenger. Try to send a request to add someone and they never get it, but if they add me, i receive the request to accept them, accept it, but sits in pending.

tried sending a pin message from the bes to the device, received ok, so it would seem that receiving pin messages is fine, its just sending its falling over.

Ran a diagnostic test, that looks ok.

Have tried re-sending service books, checked through the IT Policy and its all set to default, re-applied IT policy. Even nuked the device and reloaded the os (currently running 6.0.0.337)

Anyone any idea what the problem may be?

Thanks.

Lightbulb Weird PIN problems

Morning,
Funny you should be having this problem. I just resolved a similar problem with my 9670. Mine was the opposite, and it only effected my incoming SMS, everything went out fine and all data and communications worked great except the incoming SMS. After a couple of "fixed it" trips to sprint, it was determined that i had a bad solder joint where my antenna connected to whatever my antenna connects to. They had to replace the phone, no idea why the joint failed, and now all works great again. Added bonus, my battery and signal strength are also better, "connections are everything". Worth a look into anyway.
Good luck.

Well seem to of resolved it. problem to do with encryption between the bes and the network. i didn't fix it myself had a friend who is more familiar with bes look at it, disabled the outgoing encryption from the bes. Wiped my device and re-activated. all resolved.
