Default Web Desktop Manager with IE9

This is so frustrating...

I have recently installed BESX 5.0.3, but it was doing this on the last service release.

Each time I try to log-in to the Web Desktop Manager or the Administration Service, it keeps trying to install the communication component, even though it's already installed.

So as restricted users can’t install this, I extracted the MSI file from the CAB file and installed it using a GPO. This works fine, but when they try to open the web desktop manager, it tries to install again. So they click 'No' and it won't talk to the phone, even though the component is installed.

Admittedly, we are using Internet Explorer 9, but RIMS knowledge base states that they support IE9 with some limitations, but this problem is not listed.

Any ideas?

Why not add it to the user's safe list in IE via GP? Works fine for us

Both sites are listed under local intranet, so get trusted status automaticly.

One thing I have noticed, it seems to work fine the first time you log in, but if you log out, close the browser and try to log back in, that's when the problem start. If you log-out or re-start the computer then it's OK for the first time.

At a loss with this one.
