Video distribution globally
Hi there, I have been asked to find out whether there is a way for around 300 business leaders (senior people) to securely get access to video/audio content. To complicate things the audience are distributed right around the world, and hence the connection profile varies from Wifi (rare) to EDGE and in some remote places GPRS. An important conference takes place in September and I need to find a way to ensure all key members of staff get access to Video content that is being recorded. Hosting said content in YouTube or VideoPress is obviously an option, albeit with security issues to work through, however with users rarely using the Wifi capabilities of the device then the WAP costs of getting content from a streaming site will be a concern. Hence I was wondering whether BES can natively be used to download content wirelessly to devices and store this on the local SD card without the users intervention? We could then send emails or perhaps deploy an app to the device that could be used as a entry point to the content. Any suggestions or commercial alternatives will be much appreciated. |
