Upgrading my BES 5.0

Dear All,

I would like to migrate my BES to 5.03.

Here are some details about my environment:

Server version: 4.1.6.14
user license: 70 used 62
Runs on: VM (vmware) with guest Windows Server 2003R2 Service Pack 2
mail server: Exchange Server 2003 (soon Exchange Server 2010)

I would like to build a new VM with Windows Server 2008R2 and install the latest BES there and moving some users to the new BES server before I move all users.

I understand that I may have a problem with my CALs and the SRP key. I probably can't have the SRP installed on two BES server.

What are my solutions to achive what I would like to?

To help u in the right direction;

Missing information from u; what SQL is being used?

And No, the CAL's & SRP ID cannot be on 2 BES servers, if u do that, RIM will kill both BES's.

What u can do is look for 'How to perform a knife-edge cutover for BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.0 and 4.1' ; KB10278-How to perform a knife-edge cutover for BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.0 and 4.1

And make sure also do a VMware snapshot before the upgrade, so u can roll back ;-).
