Unable to remove emails from Outlook Inbox through Curve 8520

I have one user having some issues when deleting emails from Blackberry, it doesn't sync back to Outlook Inbox. It's set on the phone to prompt if delete both or just handheld, however, he's getting a prompt if it's okay to delete the email, but not "Handheld", "Mailbox and Handheld".

I've tried re-sync'd the phone with our BB server but no difference, phone is 8520 with latest firmware according to Blackberry site.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Exchange server? I did not think that the deletions on the device would be reflected on the Outlook box if they've delivered to the Outlook client already.

Thanks for your reply, we have Exchange 2007 SP1, and others have similar configuration and they work. So far this is the only user that doesn't show the option to delete message on "Handheld", or "Mailbox and Handheld".

Does this person have the "Sync deleted items" checkbox checked in email setup? Not sure if this applicable in an Exchange setup but might be something to look into.
