Default Unable to load BAS login screen

I just upgraded BES from 4.1 to 5.0. The upgrade went fine, emails are going to the phones. The only problem I'm having is I can't open the BlackBerry Administrative Service (BAS). It's web-based now, so when I try to open it to log in, internet explorer tells me "the name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site." Then no matter if I click yes or no, the page can't open.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there a way for me to rename the certificate if it doesn't match the name of the site?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Default More issues

It's not just the BAS page that won't load, I also can't get the login screen for the Web Desktop Manager or the BlackBerry Monitoring Service. I get the same message with the Web Desktop Manager as I did with BAS, and the Monitoring Service displays a "HTTP Status 500" error.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I can't do anything as far as administrating the BlackBerry server.

It may be as simple as reinstalling BES 5 over the top, setting the correct server name, but I would want confirmation from RIM (via your carrier's tech escalation route) before trying it on a life environment.

Default Ldap?

Does anyone know if LDAP server information might have anything to do with this? Does the LDAP server URL need to match the URL of the server that BES is running on? If so, that may be my problem...

AD exposes certain attributes via LDAP, so no, the URL would not normally be the same.

To clarify your description of the problem, is it loading the login page when you get the certificate error? Or is it when you enter the username, password, etc that you get the error?

The error pops up as soon as the Explorer window opens, so no, it doesn't even display the text boxes in which I would enter the username and password.
I have opened a support case with BlackBerry, so I'm waiting to hear from them and see if they can help. I'll let you know what they say.
If any one has any other suggestions, I'm open to trying them.

Do you get this error from the server and a workstation?

bnloiland; Had the same problem. Mine was due to the MDS connector installation. If you had it before on 4.1, you must install it now on 5. If you didn't, you don't. Simple as that.

We had it on our old BES and when I was upgrading I figured "Who needs that crap anyways" and didn't install it. BIG mistake. RIM support cleared it up. I had to uninstall BES 5 and reinstall. As long as you leave the SQL DB in place you are fine and won't lose anything.

Also, check and make sure all BES services are starting properly and staying that way.

Default Resolved!

Thanks for your suggestions, I got this fixed yesterday.
I received a reply from BlackBerry technical support, they told me that installing BES 5.0 on the same server as Microsoft Exchange is not supported and to contact them if I had further questions. Lame.
So I searched message boards and followed a process to create a new web.keystore file. I also needed to change the HTTPS port from 443 to 663, there was apparently a port conflict on 443. Once I made those changes I clicked to the login page, answered 'Yes' to the message regarding my questionable SSL certificate and the BAS login screen appeared!
I can now log into BAS and administer our BlackBerry users. I installed the active x tool and installed maintenance release 3 for BES and everything seems to be running fine now.

Thanks again guys!

This is not a supported configuration and there are valid reasons why that is the case, so I wouldnt call it lame. You will also struggle to get any support for them for any future issues because of it.
