Unable to change my number from "my number is unkown" to known?

I have just bought the BB 9700, however, I am unable to change my number from "my number is unkown" to known. Would appreciate your assistance.

Are you saying that when you call another Caller ID enabled phone, your phone comes up as "Unknown Number"? If so that is something that your carrier has to fix.

Not always, there's an option under, phone --> General Options --> Restrict my Identity, default is Network Determined I believe but you can change it to Always or Never. check that
