Turning off Email Notification via BES

Is this possible? I'm trying to turn off the email notification, or from ring to just vibrate.

No, not from the BES, profiles are defined at the device level only.

I cannot get my new BB to stop vibrating for every email.
In the set Ring Tones/Alert menu I have selected Silent for Volume, and Off for vibration. But it still notfies me, same for Calendar. Any idea why? Help--driving me crazy..
