Sync issue with Outlook and BlackBerry

I have recieved the below message from a user and cannot seem to see whats wrong.

"I only had some 30 unopened emails on my Blackberry, Outlook was showing 200 items in my in tray this morning, all of which were either actioned, deleted etc on the BlackBerry. I have used the Reconcile now option on the BlackBerry but this has not done anything to correct matters."

Is there a quick fix for this?
