Service Book options for browsing

Hi all, forgive me if this is posted in the wrong area but there are many categories this could come under, really hope someone can help as im getting nowhere with RIM.

In a nut shell we are using BES v5.0.3.31 and have just purchased some new bold 9900 handsets.

Our IT Director has asked that the blackberrys use there carrier network for browsing rather than going through bes/proxy.

Spoke with RIM who said that if we were to disable the MDS service on the bes server the handset would automatically use its carrier network for browsing, this may be true for handsets prior to os6 but on the new os6 and os7 devices the os does not let you specify which service book it uses for browsing, if its configured for bes it wants to go in that direction for browsing.

I have tested the same sim in a bold 9000 with an older os and it can browse fine.

Rim have asked that I delete the service books Desktop [SYNC], Desktop [CICAL], Desktop [CMIME] and give it another go but still no joy.

Any advice with this one would be much appreciated as its dragging on now and i would love to get it resolved asap.
