Default Sec setting question

I figured I'd ask in this forum, because admins probably have the most experience with this. I like to change my security settings daily. Specifically, I include my address book in content protection when I leave the house, and exclude it when I'm home. Will making daily changes like this hurt the device or its os over time (e.g. corrupt the os)? Or is doing this and other stuff like changing the password harmless? TIA for your thoughts and experience.

I cannot imagine this hurting anything except your sanity. ;-)
Why not set the security to include address book and leave it that way.

You do use timed lock and a real password right?

I know, it's just that I want only certain callers to be able to reach me at night when I'm sleeping, and notification profile exceptions won't work when the phone is locked if the address book is included; the BlackBerry can't decrypt the address book when it's locked, therefore the Quiet profile will take over and my "white list" won't ring on Loud as I want. Thus, I include the address book when I'm out (for security) and exclude it when I'm sleeping (for convenience).

I am not aware of this. When my phone is locked all of my notifications remain custom. I will look into on my 8900 and see what is what, because I am not aware of such things.....sorry.
