| | "Script error from content provider" ?
Anyone seen "Script error from content provider" before? Google isn't helping.
Every time it starts up. Can click OK and get past it, but it has to go away for good. On a Bold 9700, just got it back from warranty repair.
Running the latest OS for Telus. (Updating the OS didn't help)

It was enabled. Disabled it and rebooted. Same error.
I also used Blackberry Swiss Army Knife to wipe the device, then used loader.exe to reload the OS. Same error.

What device do you have, and what OS are you running?
Does this happen on all sites or just a certain one?
Are you using the mobile network or Wi-Fi?
Do you have a BlackBerry data plan (BIS)?

Bold 9700 - OS6.
Doesn't happen when going to sites - happens when the device is powered-on.
Only the mobile network is active.
Running on a BES.

Running on a BES. | I would suggest talking to your company's IT department. They might have to reactivate you on BES.

I am in the IT dept. Issue occurs whether the device is activated on the BES or not.
Also, the issue appears to be tied to the device itself, not the SIM. I put a known-good SIM in the device and it threw the same error.
I logged a call with the provider - Telus - they are telling me this is a known issue and they don't have a fix. I'll try to remember to update this thread if Telus ever figures out what the issue is.
In the meantime I'm open to suggestions.

| | Considering all you've done, my guess would be a service book error, but....
Just for giggles, try downgrading to OS5.
Can you pinpoint when the error started occurring?

Same issue over here - just upgraded to a Torch 9800 on Telus, running OS 6 v570. Everytime I reboot the device I get the same message that CousinIT outlined. It doesn't seem to affect the device in any way...its just annnoying!

Or do a security wipe, reboot and see if the issue persists. Activate on BES reboot, see if the issue persists. If it does not after each of these then the issue could have been something left over from the previous owner. If it stops, try readding each 3rd party app individually, one at a time and check if the issue returns. If it does then remove the last app uploaded and try again. Rinse and repeat. Long process but easier than asking us and waiting for replies.

| | Well heck! If it's just an annoying pop up on boot, just ignore it. Why go through a bunch of crap over that?

It was annoying enough for him to post. I just offered a way of determining or at least pin pointing a cause. As all windows users know a format of the PC fixes everything.

@Wulf - It started out on OS5, I was hoping the upgrade would fix it.
@MobileMadness - I did more than just a security wipe. I completely removed the OS (got the error 507 after wiping it with Blackberry Swiss Army Knife), then loaded it up with just core stuff, no games, no 3rd party apps, or extra languages. So I'm left with waiting for replies.

| | Easy MM, I made suggestions too. Just sayin'.....
If all that hasn't helped CousinIT, I'm afraid I'm probably right with my first guess, and it's purely a carrier issue to correct. TG it's not effecting more than your attitude.
