Default Question about folder redirection

Hello, have a Bes express server and a BIS blackberry. When I have only the BIS service my e-mail client redirect the mails to folders on a .PST

Now I install a BES Express server, active a BIS client trougth USB an web console everything works faster and have the address book and calendar, but on e-mail, I have rules that move mails to a .PST but in the blackberry are not working.

there is some kind of configuration to make that blackberry use my e-mail rules??

For BES express server to work correctly all emails will need to remain in the mailbox. There is no way for the BES to be able to talk to the .pst file, so they cannot reconcile messages. Try disabling the delivery of messages to the .pst file and new message reconciliation should start working.

In old versions of the Blackberry desktop manager you could specify a single .pst file to reconcile messages that have been moved there, but I'm not sure it will work the way you work.

Hello Rh1noo, my problem is not the e-mail reception, this work fine, my problem is that I receve many mails from monitoring systems (like nagios SCOM, etc), so in my outlook client I have set rules that redirect those mails to an .pst folder.

When I have the BIS server, this woks fine, buy when I install a BES express server this rules are not working only in the blackberry, in the PC the rules are work OK.

(sorry for my english)

If you haev server based outlook rules that deliver messages directly and you want to see these on the Blackberry then you need to get the BES to monitor those folders as well. By default the BES only monitors the inbox and sent items for new messages. You can make this change from the BES or the device. If you open messages, then go to options, then email settings, then click on the Blackberry button and select folder redirection. You should see the folder structure of your mailbox and can toggle folders on and off, then save.

Hi neoragex_cl,

I would like to know which BBY you use, is it per exemple a 9800 Torch or 9780 Bold with BBY OS 6 ?
I've seen on RIM support that there is a post saying that it was possible with OS 4 & 5 but that it seems to be missing on OS 6. Not confirmed yet, unfortunately.

Regards
