IT policy 3rd party app question for BES Admin

Hi

I have a 9800 Torch. Our IT policy does not allow 3rd party apps to be installed.
I am legally blind and have written my own theme with large icon fonts and icons that are easier to see. The rest of the Blackberry is ok if I use a large font in the user settings.

If I ask our BES Admin to allow me to install the theme will it be erased when they switch me back to the more restrictive policy?
Is it better, from an Admin point of view, to have the policy turned off and I install the theme or send it to them so they can push it to my BB?

I just want to ask the correct question when I contact them.

I haven't played with themes. I guess it depends on how they've configured the BES IT policies and software configurations. If the IT Policy blocks the 3rd party apps, then if they remove you from the policy, you install the theme, they put you back on policy, then I *think* the theme would stay on the device. If they don't have the 3rd party app restriction in the IT Policy, then they probably use a software configuration to disallow apps. In that case, you would want to ask them to push the theme to your device.

They turned the policy off and had me install the theme and a couple of other apps.
Turns out he didn't know how to push the theme to my Blackberry.
