Default IT Policy

GM I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds. I have a personal BB 8900 that connected to my job's email. The problem is that they have disabled the camera and as a father with two kids I need my camera. Is there anyway I can get around this policy. Note that this is my personal phone

Unfortunately when you connected to your work, you gave them control of your BlackBerry. It doesn't matter that you paid for it. There is a way to remove the IT policy and restore your camera function, at the expense of your work email connection. If you remove the IT policy, it will be automatically pushed back on your phone the next time you connect to the Enterprise server, and you could get in trouble for violating IT Security. Restrictive IT Policies are the reason many people choose to carry a personal device in addition to a company-provided one.

Buy a real camera for those precious moments. They are cheaper than phones these days.

Thanks guys for the response. It's been 3 days now without a camera and I've gotten used to it. I will just get a lil camera for those moments.

Even wiping the device will not remove the work IT policy. If you can live without work email, there are descriptions here on the crackberry forums that detail how to remove an IT policy.
