Default Please help with BPS and New Device

I have been using BPS for about a year now with just one user. It pretty much just runs in the background so I haven't had to dig into the BPS software but now I am switching devices. I have never done this before... I know that I need to use the Destop Manager Device Switch program but what do I need to do on the BPS to make it see the new device??

If there already a thread for this, I apoligize and please point me in the right direction!

Thank You.

Go into BPS and lookup the user. Goto "Set Activation Password..." assign a new password. Goto the new device Options -> Advanced Options -> Enterprise Activation. Reactivate with the password you just set.

You can use DM to transfer the rest of the apps or settings the user may have setup. EA will transfer email, contacts, sms, call logs, etc (assuming you're using default BPS settings).

If Desktop Manager is installed in enterprise mode on your work PC on the same LAN as the BES server, just plug in the new device, it will ask if you want to associate your BES account with the new device. This will not backup/restore your data, but perform a new enterprise activation without the need to reset the activation password and initiate it manually.

Personally, I would do the following:
plug in old device - do full backup
plug in new device, answer No to switch BES account to new PIN
restore required data
Unplug and plug back in, then answer yes to switch BES account to new PIN
