Unhappy Phones dropping contact with BES

We only have roughly 15 samrtphones registered with a BES (version 4.1.4.17), and I've never had a problem with enterprise activation, but periodically, phones will stop reporting back to the BES, and of course they stop receiving email etc. Presently, the only resolution I've found is to wipe the device and reactivate which is time consuming. Is there anything else I can try? I've atttempted resending the service books, reassigning policies etc., but once the last contact time goes beyond a day or so, then I can't seem to get anything through to the phone

HELP!!!!

I am also having this issue. The problem seems to be isolated to VZ phones, but is not limited to any particular OS version or hardware. The device will stop receiving new e-mail randomly, but will still receive updates from the server. For example, if an e-mail delivered before the problem occurs (and thus is visible on the BB and in Outlook) is read in Outlook, the BB will be updated and the message will show as read.

We are running BES 4.1.6.16 and Exchange 2003.

It's frustrating since I have googled this to no end, so Kyle, it's nice to know there's at least one other person in this boat.

I having a similer issue too, after a number of months with no issue then suddenly one user stops getting messages sent to the device. Stange part that I'm seeing is that "sent" items from the desktop appear on the device but no received messages.

On top of that, I can re-send service books and BES receives back notification that they were received and the server reports show that it's keeping contact with the device but still no new messages go to the device.

What I have found is that switching the effected use to my beta BES by using BES Transportor then I can see that the "inbox" redirection is disabled (but sent items is enabled) but then I simpley enable the inbox re-direction and all is good.

I'm running 4.1 BES as my production server and 5.0 BES in beta (I'm a GroupWise shop).

So far I have 3 cases of such in the last 2 months.

Silly me but is there a way to select mailbox re-direction folders in 4.1? IF there is, I haven't found it but that might be the issue?
