Default Outgoing exchange email gets pushed to phone, but no incoming

It's tuesday afternoon and I haven't seen a new email since sunday morning. Opened a ticket with company IT, but I hear they're swamped and no idea when they'll get back to me.

the BB is a Tour running OS5 Running Outlook 2007. Not sure what version of Exchange or BB enterprise server.

The odd thing is, email *is* getting pushed to the phone, but only email I originate. Email I receive in Outlook does not get pushed to the phone.

If this is a back end issue, I'm screwed; I just have to wait until support gets around to me. But is there anything I can try in the meantime? Thanks in advance.

I wonder if they are swamped with others having email issues?

Specifically the same issue? I thought of that, but they need to come clean with some kind of announcement so thousands of customers don't create individual tickets. And keep bugging the help desk. You know crackberry users -- we don't take withdrawal pangs well.
