Default Odd Syncing problem

At my company, we are running BES 4.1 with an Exchange server. We recently set up a new server for our email. Since then, there is a mix of all sorts of problems. Some phones work flawlessly. Some required a wipe of the handheld and a re-do of the Enterprise activation and now those work fine.
Here is the kicker:
Some phones (including my Tour), the only thing that does not work is if I add a calendar appointment on my phone, it never appears in Outlook. It shows up on my phone if added in Outlook. I can even delete an appointment on my phone and it deletes in Outlook. Everything else works fine.
Any ideas/suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The process for resolving issues around mailboxes which have been moved would be to remove the user from the BES, run "handheldcleanup -u" from the utility folder, wipe the device, add the user back onto the BES, and reactivate.

Have you used the handheldcleanup utility with the -u switch. My understanding is that it removes MAPI profile information for "old" BES users who no longer exist.

I'd like to continue this thread as I've had similar experiences, however, I've only removed them from BES 4.1 and clicked "yes" to removing bes information from the mailbox.

is this "handheldcleanup -u" really necessary? why doesn't it do this automatically? what exactly does it do that removing them from the console doesn't do?

I'll have to try this the next time I see the issue.

I've had one user of whom I've had to wipe, remove from bes, reactivate a few times and their calendar issues still persist, ie: calendar items not updating on bb, or calendar items in outlook not updating. sometimes a simple battery pull temporarily resolves the issue.

running bb8310's usually as standard and latest OS from rogers. 4.5.0.81

If anyone else has suggestion on this issue, I'd appreciate it. About 100 users and it only seems to be 1 or two users who have this issue over and over, other users have no problems at all including myself.

PS: running 4.1.6 latest MR

I just found another thread in this forum that suggested to run "rset" from the calendar 'options' screen. I tested this on my BB and it worked ok.

I have one more question, is it normal to have to every now and then remove users wipe the device and re-activate them? this doesn't really happen often, but I'm trying to narrow down why this happens a lot with specific users.

My understanding is that handheldcleanup removes additional information that isnt removed when the user is deleted from the BES via Blackberry Manager.

I have a suspicion that the RSET you have done will only provide a temporary fix and that the problem will reoccur.

Quirky calendar sync problems are often the result of mix matched versions of CDO and MAPI32.DLL. If all of the users reporting this problem are on the new Exchange server it may be worth verifying that you have kept the BES in step with CDO and MAPI versions.

How do I resolve CDO and MAPI32.DLL problems? I'm a bit new to this so I'm not sure where to start. Could you please provide me with some direction?

We're using Exchange 2007 SP1 and upgraded from BES 4.0 to 4.1.6 latest MR about 5 months ago

I found a couple posts that explains cdo.dll and mapi32.dll problems better:

needing newer version of mapi32.dll??? - BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community
Updating both Mapi32.dll and CDO.dll - BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community

I'll try to run this update and see how that helps:
Download details: Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1

Right now our cdo.dll and mapi32.dll versions are not the same
