Default need help on besx and servers

Okay here is our situation, we are a small business that has 6 total blackberries that are needed. I am looking into a besx setup but I am not catching on to what all is needed.

We dont have a server or our own domain, but we will get one (cheaply as we would like to have our own email address)
We do want to do besx but again without a server there is probably no way to run it through my windows 7 machine that is on all the time is there?
two of the blackberries we would like to be able to track them through gps, is that possible? we would need two of the blackberries locked down and only able to use what we want them to use.

we are looking to do this at minnimum cost of course..again to sum up we want besx, but have NO idea where to start to even build the system out!

First question: what email program do you use or intend on using? BES/BESx require Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes. BES can also use groupwise, I'm not sure about BESx. It sounds like you don't have one of these yet, but are planning on getting something.

Once you get the email server in place then you can start thinging about the BlackBerry server. Both require a server operating system. Not necessarily server hardware.
The system requirements for BESx on Microsoft exchange (came up first in the google search) are here:

The full BES can log GPS coordinates to the database, but as far as I know there's no simple way to get them out or make use of them. I am unaware if BESx has this GPS tracking capability.

To me it sounds like you might be better looking for a hosted email/BES(x) package somewhere. If you decide to do it in house, BESx is definitely the cheapest way.
