Missing emails on BES 4.1.7.17

One of my users who is on a storm 9530 is mysteriously missing emails that he used to have as of last friday. He claims to not have changed anything. He's got his inbox set to hold 6 months worth of emails, but all emails prior to the 14th are missing.

I know i could simply remove him and re-add him to the BES, but if i'm correct, i can only get the past 15 days/500 emails sent to his device from exchange.

Anyone know how this might have happened and a possible way to resolve?

How many emails does he have on his device, and how much free memory? As you start running out of space, the BlackBerry will start purging old email regardles of settings.

i've just asked the user to provide me the file free info, and the size of the messages database.

I'm looking at his user info on the BES right now, he's shown 1533 forwarded messages and 124 sent.

I will post back once i receive his file free/DB info. If i max out the pre populated messages to 750 and adjust the # of days to 14 will it only go back 14 days? or will it back fill up to 750. Or only 750 emails within the 14 days?

Did he do anything to his Exchange inbox?

As far as i'm aware he's done nothing to his Exchange emails, and he has all the emails on his PC/webmail, but not on his berry. He has nothing prior to the 11th, and only 6 of the emails he received on the 11th.

I'm not really finding anything anywhere else and it's starting to hurt my brain. Everyone says check his memory on the phone and with the #'s i posted he's got a very acceptable level of memory left. Unless the email DB is actually fubard.

If it helps he's using OS 5.0.0.419, officially released by his carrier. I'm very confused.

Check. Make sure he didn't file the emails in folders.

He hasn't moved anything, the emails are in his unfiltered inbox. Any ideas? I'm not having any luck finding an answer to this.
