Default Lotus Notes - Deletion from Berry

Calling all Lotus Notes BES Admins....

Using the Lotus Notes client, when you delete mail, it goes into a trash bin for a predetermined amount of time before being deleted.

Now using my berry, if I perform the same function, the mail seems to be gone forever. It does not appear in my berry's trash folder. Is there a setting, either on the berry or the BES that will allow the deleted mail to be put into a trash bin like the client?

Thanks.

I don't believe 'soft deletes' are supported on the device with Notes/BES. I know it's not what you're after, but your Notes client should still have what you deleted in the trash folder. You bring up a good question though. I wonder why soft deletes are not supported.

The problem was somebody accidentally deleted an message using the berry. The berry did a hard-delete. The message was not in the trash folder.

You are right, this is something that needs to be added.. Maybe for 5.1?

A couple of hours ago I deleted an email on my device. I just logged into my Notes Client and went to the trash folder. The email I deleted was in my trash folder.

How is wireless synch configured on the device?
Do deletes on the Notes Client go to the trash folder fine?
