Lotus Notes contact sync (BES)

Can BES admins prevent wireless contact sync, while still allowing wireless email/calendar sync?

My wireless contact sync worked fine with my tour 9630, but stopped working when I changed to the Bold 9650. I've tried everything I found in the forums (delete/undelete service books, full wipe, etc). When I open contacts - options, wireless sync says "not available".

I'm on Lotus Notes, BES, Verizon Bold 9650.

Have you checked with your IT department? If they aren't allowing contact sync then you are unlikely to change things, if they are and yours doesn't work, then it is a problem they need to solve.

Any updates lately in your environment? New Domino Server? BES Upgrade.

To answer your question Yes it can be disabled. Though I have had issues with the mapping in the BES not being correct or the user never snyced their contacts from their desktop notes application to inotes.

I would make sure that your contacts are syncing from you lotus notes desktop to your inotes first.
