Lots of Issues with Tour Devices upgraded to version 5.0
In order to allow our users (who are all using Tours) the new PTT feature, Verizon has told us to upgrade all devices to the 5.0.0.591 version. Ever since we've done this, we've had so many quirky issues...Some issues I've found others have encountered, some I haven't seen posted.
We're running a BES with 250 users for Groupwise, using version 4.1.6.20
- Some user devices work fine after the upgrade only to lose connection to the BES a week or two later, and randomly after that
- Some user devices lose the ability to send email/mms messages
- Some user devices lose their synchronization properties (cannot see sent messages from the desktop on the device)
- Some (like mine) have been lucky with no issues (hope I'm not jinxing myself)
We're seeing many freaky things lately. One fix is to remove the users from the BES and add them back. That fixed problem 1.
I've also had to wipe the devices and install the newest platform for 5.0.0.591 (platform 4.2.0.284). So far, that seems to resolve the other issues we've seen.
So far, this upgrade has been a nightmare. Anyone else having these problems?
