Default Loading messages after BES activation

BES activated a new users device, everything was working fine. I then went to his backup from his old device and loaded his messages, he had around 500 email messages. They loaded fine. But then email stopped working, it wouldn't send nor receive emails.

Once a device is BES activated, can you not load things from a backup and still have BES PIM work?

Running BES 5.0.3

Try doing it the other way. Load the 500 emails on the device before you activate it. Once the device is activated, the BES is in complete control of the PIM. I'm sure something broke when you did a restore after the activation. I'm actually surprised DM allowed you to back up messages and then restore to a new BES device.

Activate the device and restore just the messages, if you restore the entire blackberry to a previous date then you will need to re-activate.
