Exclamation Invisible e-mails...

Here's an interesting one. Can't figure it out - it's been driving me nuts for the last couple hours (and I REALLY don't have hours to spend on these annoyances!).

I replaced one of my sales guys' Tours with an FRU replacement due to trackball issues. Straight DM backup, ESN switch, then restore. Then re-activated on BES (4.1.x). Activation took normal time, everything looked good. The phone seems to be receiving e-mails (it will alert and "add 1" to the unread count). But, they are NOT visible in Messages. I can open old e-mails from the restore, "get more", download attachments from those previous e-mails, start new e-mails using lookup to the GAL .... but the new e-mails don't show in the inbox. No filters or current searches.

I have...
- Battery Pull (duh)
- Resent service books
- Second round of Enterprise Activation
- Checked settings, filters, etc.
- Communication from BES (on BES) looks fine
- Resend IT Policy
- Double-checked PIN and MEID information w/Verizon and BES

Anyone ever experience this? Am I missing something stupid?

Thanks in advance...

So, the user reported the it "randomly" began working late last night. Wish I knew what happened...

I've seen this when the device time is wrong, the emails appear and are time stamped with the devices current date/time. If the device config is then changed to get its time from the network (or if it is only polling the network for date/time once every X hours) this could be the cause.

Also with the original Tour code I have a user that had this issue. For some reason removing the call logs from being saved in the Messages list resolved this issue. The new version of Verizon handheld code resolved the issue too.
