Inhouse BESX server without BES/BIS Data plan
Hi there,
BB newbie here. I want to know if its possible to use gmail or exchange email on a blackberry device without signing up for a BIS data plan with the cellphone service provider? I was earlier on an iphone and have a 6gb data grandfathered account. If I make the change to the account to add BIS data, I'll lose the discounts I am getting on it. I know that for any email/data to work on the blackberry device, a BIS or BES service is required. So, can I setup a BESX server locally inhouse and continue to use the non-BB data plan from my cellphone service provider? Will this work?
Thanks in advance!
