Default Incorrect user licence count on BES Professional

Thanks for looking at this message, I hope someone can help me.

I'm having a problem with the BB Professional server saying that we are out of users when we are not.

We have an Exchange 2007 server and a BlackBerry Professional server (v 4.1.4.3), both of which have been running correctly for some time.

When we tried to add a new BB user to the server it reported that there were no available licences for them. I looked at the server and it reported that there were 15 licences and 15 users defined. However, the list of users only showed 14 entries. The client purchased another licence and so I was able to activate that user but it now says 16 licences all in use and there are 15 names in the list so they are still missing one.

A user left the company recently and it would appear that their account on the server hasn't been released for some reason but I am not sure what to do about it now. I have tried rebooting the BB server but it still shows all licences in use.

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks,

Nigel.

close the manager app on BES and open again

or

If user is stuck in pending delete, you can drop user from database using the following:

1. Open command prompt
2. Type "osql -E"
3. 1>use BESMgmt
4. 2>go
5. 1>delete from userconfig where mailboxsmtpaddr=''user@domain.com''
6. 2>go

Default Problem solved

That's great, worked like a treat.

Hand editing SQL seems a bit drastic for the inadvertent crime of deleting the AD account before the BB one but it worked and I know what to do in the future now.

Thanks very much indeed for your help.
