Default How to use BlackBerry when BES offline

I have a BlackBerry connected to BES (BPS to be exact) and the connection is sometimes flaky. When the server goes offline, so does my BlackBerry's connectivity to the internet and most of my network-enabled apps.

Is there any way I can bypass BES when it's offline, so that I'm not in the dark until I can get to the server?

Thanks!

You can access other applciations like browsing through your devic when BES is down. There is no settings required for this.

ON your device, go to Settings -> Options-> Advanced Options -> Browser. If the browser configurations are set to 'Blackberry' , change them to 'Internet', save and try again. Also, clear your cache.

Thanks, I did have it set to Blackberry Browser and once I changed that, it worked.

I still have other applications, including one that I developed, that are having trouble connecting when BES is offline. Is there any remedy for that? One app that does still work though, is iHeartRadio, perhaps they're just connecting to the network differently?
