Just stay cool and don't let them get to you. Most of them just want to get a reaction and/or seeking attention. Hopefully you have someone higher up that understands how some people act. We have a select few attorneys that fly off the handle at the slightest provocation, but by being able to show the pattern as well as establishing the pattern of quick support which leaves them little to really complain about, we can mitigate the situation when they try to act like WE are the problem.

Remain professional, keep a smile on your face and then after things have settled down, late some Sunday night, send a Wipe command to his BB...

well if you wipe their blackberry, the BES hold records of admin log on. They can fire you. I hate petty office politics. It really make me angry. I see BES admin become like scary cat from Tom & Jerry cartoon. The BES admin squeak like a little girl.

I was kinda joking about that. although logs can be wiped and there's always the old "We're not sure what happened and nobody else has reported this problem but let us know if it happens again..." It won't solve anything but sometimes helps to relieve the pressure that sounds like it is building up in you.

Seriously, tho, you're not going to change people. They treat you bad because they can get away with it.

As the guys above state, people wont change. They all have the same "big dog" attitude.
Stay calm, if they come to your desk then dont let them stand over you, stand up when they talk to you so they dont feel as big.
Say that you'll "take a look at it and you will update them asap".
if you are using the new BES software then there is a user side web app that they can fix most problems with, suggest this and if they say that they are busy then tell them that it will be prioritised and dealt with accordingly.

Or brick their phone and tell them they need to arrange for a replacement from vodafone as an application that they installed borked the phone.....

As RTakacs said, a lot of these guys like to think they are "master of all they survey" and can't stand to have to depend on someone else to deliver something that they require to do their job. Sadly for some this causes them to beat up on the people they perceive as responsible as a way to hide their inadequacy. As Sirius Black said "If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals."

Some people in our ORG (execs) rely on their Blackberries so heavily they don't realize that the email on their berry actually comes from an Exchange server. If Exchange has a blip and they aren't getting email on their berries, you can bet their calling the BES admin. When they call their usually begging to have their service restored... When I do get an upset client, I let them know that they've contacted the right person and tell them I'll get them up and running. I always ask who their carrier is (makes them suspect that the problem may be unrelated to the BES/berry ).
