The MDS Connection Service needs to be running on your BES. This is typically installed by default.. (Not to be confused with MDS Integration Service which is a whole different thing and not needed for this).

Make sure the you are using the "Blackberry Browser" on your device and not the "Interner Browser" and you should be able to see any internal websites with no problems.

Thank you so much for replying.. MDS Connection Service is running on my BES server and I'm using blackberry browser on my device. However,I still could not access to the intranet web application. I was suspected that firewall has block traffic from BES to the web application server. Hence, I have requested firewall team in my organization to open port for the BES server to access to the web application server. Did I need to configure anything on the MDS Connection Service Property in the BES after openning the appporiate ports? Could you briefly explain what is MDS Integration Service for? Thanks... hope to hear from you soon...

We use a very standard install of BES - I honestly don't think we've changed any of the defaults other than message size and allowing https authentication and ours works. So I don't think there are any further MDS Requirements that need to be changed. Can you browse to your intranet from the BES Server? Are you getting a page not found 404 error or is it an authentication error? If you intranet requires a user to login (sharepoint..) you have to enable authentication since technically there is no user logged into the BB.

EDIT: Forgot to answer your other question

MDS Intregration - From my understanding, since we don't actually use it - is more for custom written applications that are pushed to your BB's that interact with corporate resources.

Sorry for the late reply... I've managed to allow my blackberry device to browse intranet application after openning appropriate ports on the BES firewalls. Thanks for your input.. there is no configurations needed on MSD.
