Default Help with contacts sync

We recently installed BPS and I am the only user at the present. So far so good I thought, but then ran into a problem where new contact created in Outlook is not being sync'ed to the handheld, but the opposite works fine. Everything else seems to be sync'ing OK both ways. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First thing to check is MAPI and CDO versions. The must be at the same version (or higher) as your Exchange environment - a mismatch of these versions is one of the most frequent causes of this type of problem.

Default Contact sync'ing issue cont.

GlenB -
Thanks for the response. I had mentioned CDO & MAPI compatability to our network admin before, but will follow up to see what the versions are on both the BPS server and the Exchange server. Do you know which version is the most current? More importantly, since I am now out of sync on my contacts, how do I get back into sync? Is there a way to just download/refresh the contacts only? Thanks again for your assistance.

Turn - you need to resolve this issue to get your contacts syncing over the air. The latest version of MAPI and CDO are available from MS for download from Download details: Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1
