Default Forwarded email not showing up

Not an Admin, but though you guys might be able to crack this problem I posted elsewhere:

OK, so my law school uses an exchange server for email. Since the webmail interface sucks (and is only useful in IE), and I refuse to run a VPN so I can use Outlook at home, I set up an auto-forwarding rule for all emails to get forwarded to my Gmail account.

I set up my Gmail account on my 9700 using BIS and the Enhanced Gmail Plugin.

The catch: Emails forwarded from my school exchange account to my gmail account aren't making it to my berry.

Any guesses?

If the webmail interface is Exchange and OWA why not configure your BIS account to connect directly to that?

Or if you really like using Outlook - check out "Outlook Anywhere"... You can use outlook at home without VPN just as if you were connected directly to the network... It uses the OWA hook to connect to Exchange.

Or GlenB's suggestion is also very valid... you can have a bunch of BIS accounts, so just have one for your gmail and one for your work.

If you really want the gmail solution - this may be a stupid question but do the forwarded emails show up in your gmail web box? I use basically the same concept for my old cox email account. It forwards to my gmail and straight to my BB with no issues.

Yeah, they show up in my gmail web inbox. They just don't make it to my berry. More curious, however, is that emails from other people on the same exchange server are delivered, but not ones from me. I wonder if the BB isn't sending them because the email is associated with my gmail account and it knows they're from me.

In any event, I'm just going to try to make a new BIS account for my school email.

Just to clarify what you said Marker....mails from other people arrive, mails from you dont??? This is normally a "feature" of a Googlemail account integrated via BIS - it doesnt sync emails you send to yourself, some peculiarity of the way google handles mail.

If you could forward to multiple email addresses, you could forward to your blackberry.net email address. That address does not filter the emails addresses to yourself.
