K, I'll check it out, as mine still just hangs. I don't have my storm on desktop manager, as I have a macbook pro, and I haven't downloaded missing sync yet for blackberry.

I got my owa connected, but it was only for email, no contacts or calendar...

Also, being that I use Entourage, how should I go about resetting entourage?

Default resetting folders for Entourage

I'm not sure how to reset folders for Entourage. I read a tip by someone else who suggested deleting that users profile for Entourage and re-creating it which of course would reset the folder. s

Any tips for a new bes admin as last night I read that removing the user from bes and readding them sometimes fixed activations... Now I can't add me as a user to bes...

Default adding a user to BES

Can you give more detail on what's happening when you try to re add your user? Any errors?

I updated my Storm to .75 and my activation went right through on my BES, took about 5 minutes from start of activating to 100% done.

I'm the one who started this thread. When I updated my Storm to .75 my BES re-activation went smoothly and (relatively) quickly. As I mentioned some posts back, the activation problem I had before evidently was a stopped synchronization service on the BES. I also scanned and repaired my .ost file, which doesn't hurt. Per the RIM tech I spoke to, there is nothing special about the Storm in regards to activation, other than the software on the BES has to be reasonably up to date.

Mine took about 20 mins to activate. Now from time to time it seems to continue to try to activate again. Hung up on a few items for some reason, but still working. Also - it dies once a day and has to reboot. Not sure if that is one of the OS problems.

The Storm 2 needs to reset. Once it resets and reboots, the enterprise activation will kick in and your Storm 2 should be good to go.

I haven't been able to get my Storm enterprise reactivated after upgrading the OS to 5.0.0.328. It just sits on "activating" then fails. I deleted the user in the Professional Software, then re-created another user. The display in the User tab jus says initializing and would never connect. I'm getting event 20000 in my server's event log, with "Unable to find SRPId for user" in the description. Note: I've always had an error message in the MAPI setup for "Blackberry Admin" in that it couldn't resolve the user in Active Directory. Still, it always worked, so "if it ain't broke...", y'know?

So I'm leaning toward wiping the device, re-upgrading to 5.0 and starting over. Anyone have another idea?
Thanks,
Lane

To reply to myself (which is not the same as talking to yourself), my last ditch effort before wiping my device worked. I connected directly by USB to my server and recreated my user in BPS. It activated by that connection and I started receiving email on my corporate account. The only thing the server is whining about in the event log now is no contact picture: "GetContactPicture - No picture synced, filename is not ContactPicture.jpg".
Sure seems odd that the OS upgrade kicked this off. I know that a direct USB connection to the server is not an option in a shop with 600 or 1500 devices. Guess that's why I'm content to be in a little pond :^)

Default BES Activation Stuck on Activating... RESOLVED

I received this error when attempting to reactivate a device. It turns out the problem is that the Exchange mailbox was moved (common for Exchange) between my last deactivation and my current activation attempt. BES only looks for the mailbox in its previous location. The ETP.DAT e-mail was received but would not be processed by the server. The solution is to restart the BES service that reconciles the mailboxes (do not remember the name, as I am not a BES admin). Once this is done, it will relocate the correct Exchange mailbox, and process the ETP.DAT message.

I was told by RIM that the “PIM Synchronization not Enabled for this Device” error only indicates that the device is not connected/hasn’t been connected to BES and therefore cannot synchronize “Personal Information”. After BES finally activated, I discovered only my address book synchronized. I had to then enable wireless synchronization for my Calendar and E-mail on my device. (Perhaps this is what the PIM synch error was referring to?)

Default Hanging on Activating

Sorry for posting on an old thread but thought this information should be posted.

After going through the troubleshooting steps on the BB website I was still having activating problems.

My data was on
I was able to send PINS
I was receiving an un-altered EPT.Dat email address and it stayed in the inbox
The activation email would never leave the inbox and the Device would continue to say Activation "user@domain" but never advance. (actually it may have failed after 40 minutes or so)

To get the BB to activate here is what the BB tech and I did.

Go to the BES
Right Click on the user
Click Edit Properties
Click on the Advanced Tab
Change the Enable Static Mailbox Agent to True
Change the Mailbox Agent ID to 399

Once that was changed the Activation process continued.

Hope this helps someone!
