Default email of BESX question

Admin of BESX and have two new users who just got the Bold 9650, after going through activation process I cannot get all of the emails in Outlook to show up on the device. Users have several hundred emails in Outlook and I am wondering if there is a way to get those to load onto the new devices. Currently the devices are just receiving new emails and the users want the old emails on their devices. Any suggestions?

Did the enterprise activiation go well once it was assigned to your user? if this went well, I would look at having them log into WebDesktop and ensure their Inbox is selected to redirect to the handheld. If you want to add other Outlook folders to redirect as well, you do this through their individual WebDesktop.

If you have not yet configured WebDesktop for your users, there is a great section in the BESX admin guide available on RIM's website that will walk you through WebDesktop.

The activation went smooth and users are receiving new emails, however I can not get the emails that were in the Outlook inbox prior to activation to show up on the new devices.

First, understand that not every old email will get sent to the BB; there's a limit in days.

Now, did you get ANY mail from their Inbox to transfer to the new BB?

The prepopulation settigns are what determine how many messages (or how many days worth of messages) are sent to the device. I'm not sure if this is available on BESX, I think it is, but even with that, the max limit is something like 14 days of email.

I know in BES 5 for Lotus, even though all old emails are not sent to the phone, you can still do a remote search for any email you have. I'm guessing there would be similar functionality for Exchange accounts.
