duplicate calendar entries on 8800

Hi,

Advice required please.

We have a BES 3.6.4.8 with various different Blackberry handsets around the company.

As we have BES 3.6 we reply on Desktop Manager to sync Contacts & Tasks as this version of BES only syncs email and calendar wirelessly but where possible we configure Desktop Manager (v4.2) so that the calendar is set to sync wirelessly and not with Outlook. We also have to use Desktop Manager to activate the Blackberries over USB as this version of BES doesn't support wireless enterprise activation.
However, with Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.7 and 5.x the sync options look different and there doesn't seem to be the option to select wireless sync for the calendar.
I've read on numerous occasions you shouldn't use both Desktop Manager AND BES for syncing as problems can occur (not sure what they are though).

Can anyone advise please ?

Upgrade to BESX. It's free and unless you use a lot of IT policies, it will do the trick for you.
