Difference between BBConnect and BlackBerry smartphone

Anyone have the list of techincal difference between BBConnect and BlackBerry smartpones?

BBConnect is an emulator maintained by different handset manufacturers. In my experience it has generally been a poor imitation of a genuine Blackberry and more trouble than it is worth, I'm not even sure the likes of Nokia and Sony Ericsson still maintain it as they seem to be focusing their efforts on other email solutions such as over the air ActiveSync clients.
