Default Contact Woes

Ok so I enterprise activated a new blackberry for a rep yesterday and noticed that the contacts would not sync. I tried all the regular stuff (service books, wiping, redoing etc) nothing. Today another user complains that their contacts are not syncing. I check the phone and sure enough the option to sync the contacts is set to "not available" this is on a phone that worked fine before. i checked another users phone and found the same thing.

Now I have looked into the IT policy (only use default) and can see that the sync is enabled. I also checked to make sure that it was enabled at the user level. I restarted all bes services and even the box with no luck.

Email and Calendar all sync fine just not the contacts. I have had 0 issues with this in the past and have not made any major changes on either the BES or the Exchange. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

BES Version: 4.1.4.12
Exchange 2007

Make sure the Blackberry synchronisation service is running and started on the BES as this looks after the contact sync. Maybe try restarting it and checkin the log file for errors.

Check the Desktop [sync] service book on the device. This should be active and not disabled.
