Default Connected to WiFi but no BES / Internet

Hi, in a corporate enviroment, many offices, multiple accesspoints over the world with same setting and certificate. 1 proxy, 1 gateway, 1 BES. I can connect my BB to the WiFi, using the certificate and my ActiveDirectory credentials, but then the device still uses the sim to connect to the BES and to Internet.

Can somebody tell me what could be wrong in the configuration? After some reading I found :

    * Blackberry router isn't in the DNS
    * No proxy configured in the BES (MDS connection service)

Evidently, the goal is to connect Blackberry devices over the WiFi to the BES, and also allow browsing of the Internet over the wifi, instead of the simcard.

    Thanks,

Maybe someone can help me as I am experiencing the same problem.

I have the 9930 and one day, out of a sudden, I just can't send bbm messages over wi-fi anymore. I still have BIS data plan, I can send messages over mobile network when I have GPRS/EDGE/3G.

I have 2 routers at home. The one downstairs has no problem, I can send bbm messages quickly. The problem is with the router in my room upstairs. Now my 9930 shows that it can connect to the router but it's not connected to the internet. But I can browse the net using my desktop PC, which is also connected to the same router through LAN cable.

I used to get this 4 dots symbol next to the wifi, but not anymore. And if I do get it sometimes, I can send bbm messages but only for a short period of time. The 4 dots symbol would stay on but then I can't send any messages.

Now, since I can use the router downstairs to send BBM messages quickly, this leads me to believe that the sole problem lies with my router in my room upstairs. I have rebooted, reset, applied factory defaults and nothing has worked in my favor. Can someone please help me? I'm desperate now.

Think it's better to start your own page, since I started it for corporate global wifi with bes, you did about BIS and 2 home routers...

I think I have solved my problem, BB Router is in the DMZ and I need to open port 4101 from the device manager to the router and then all should be well...

Don't think it will work in your home though
