i'm prior army and i configured bb's as well as pc's, routers, switches, combat net radios, voip, vtc's and satellite equipment.

I really want to get into the blackberry world.

who has experience with getting certified then having their salary increased, position upgraded or receiving an offer at a new job due to a bb cert?

Generally speaking there aren't a lot of people who are "Full time" BB admins. The BB admin is typically also the admin for the e-mail system (Groupwise, Exchanged or Domino) and picks up the BB admin job because they kind of go together.

That said certification can make a difference, it depends on the employer, some require certifications, some look at them as "OK to have", but put much more weight on actual experience.
