Default Can receive emails but not send when abroad

Hello all,

I have a user that goes to Germany quite often, he has not had problems previously but he is out there until Tuesday and his blackberry is able to receive emails, make calls, surf the net, receive and send sms messages etc but cannot send emails.

We use BES 4.1.6.9, he has a Torch 9800.

I have resent the service book (although i dont know if it worked as it just came up with it has been queued or something)

I also noticed that he has panding data packets that stack, i purged them but still no joy.

Bes displays that the last contact time to the device is today but last sent time was 2 days ago (before he went to Gemany)

With Vodaphone, definately have roaming active on device and roaming tarrif/priceplan (it used to work)

any help will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Hi all,

seems to be resolved! a lot of people have said that doing a hard reset sorts out some issues like this, so that may have been the case here, but the user said he did this 3 times. So here is the steps i did to fix, just in case it helps anyone out there
1. Make sure roaming on the device is on: Manage connections>mobile network options>data services file.
2. In Bes, right-click the user>edit properties>advanced>enable static mailbox agent – set to true, apply. Purge the data packets and reset to false, apply.
3. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon. Click Device > Advanced System Settings > Host Routing Table. Press the key > Register Now.
4. With the device on, take the battery out, wait 10 seconds and put it back in, turn device on.
