Default Broadcast Messaging system

Greetings
I am using an internal Instant messaging system that uses the Ip address and Broadcast channel on our intranet. It is called softros Lan Messenger.
There are several of thes out there and for a small network shop they work great.
I am running a BES and can easily access internal websites etc from my Blackberry device.
I understand the Blackberry doesn't have an IP address as such but the server the BES sits on does.
It seems, unless I am missing something that an app on the Server could transfer the messages to and from my blackberry while I would look like a user on the server to the rest of the internal network?
The goal here is to be able to instant message the people at the shop while on the road using the same in house messaging system they are currently using.
Any thoughts
Thanks
Have fun
