Blackberry Professional Software no longer supported?

Hi there,

Could it be that BPS is no longer supported and there will be no upgrades?

Ive found this post in another board (in german!)

"Für die PRofessional Software folgen keine Updates mehr. Es ist wohl besser den Enterprise Server zu holen, denke ich."

Translated: "There will be no more updates for the Professional Software. i recommend to get the Enterprise Server"..

Yep.. BPS is being discontinued, or might already be.

I've heard that RIM are fully concentrating on BES 5.0 at the moment so there is no room for BPS at the moment.

However once they have released and stabalised any issues they can then switch to things like BPS.

So watch this space, but don't hold your breath

BPS has never been updated once since it was released. It got a couple of security patches, but that was it. It seemed more of like a bait and switch product to get people to buy BES.
